Saturday morning kicked off the Prince George's County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association's 85th Convention. The events began with the field contests. Volunteers from around the county competed in the Agility Test, 1st Alarm Dressing, Bucket Brigade, Battle of the Bucket, and the Tug-of-War. Sunday's events drew volunteers from PG, Charles and Calvert Counties. Squads and rescue engines competed in the Extrication Contest, and the Driving Rodeo. People stayed well into the evening enjoying the food and beverages. With many events still to come, the Accokeek Volunteers look forward to hosting the counties volunteers.
