Thursday, January 5, 2012 2057 On Thursday evening, while the Accokeek Volunteers were working the weekly bingo, and box alarm was dispatched for a house fire on Ashbox Road in the Baden area. Tower 24, Chief 24 and Chief 24-A responded with 5 volunteers. Units arrived on the scene to find a single story house fully involved with fire. Once the Tower arrived on the scene they were directed to assist with ventilation, utility control and opening the ceiling and walls. Once the fire was extinguished the crew began overhaul operations. They remained on the scene for approximately three hours before returning home.
