Friday, March 12, 2010 To the residents of the Accokeek Community, the Accokeek VFD has recently mailed out our annual find drive letter. This is the only time during the year that this department directly asks the community for its financial support. We would like to ask you to please take a moment and read through the letter, and if possible, to return a small donation in the enclosed envelope. The dedicated volunteers of Accokeek work tirelessly to provide a life saving service to the citizens. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.

In addition, WE DO NOT SOLICiT FOR MONEY VIA THE PHONE OR BY GOING DOOR TO DOOR. Any donations that are given to any organization, or person, through the phone or at the door do not return to (or benefit) the Accokeek Volunteer Fire Department. However, the Accokeek Ladies Auxiliary does conduct a picture fund drive in May that does utilize a door to door method for picture sales. These pictures are taken at the firehouse at a later date.
