Early Monday morning around 8:15 while crews were perfoming there morning duties along with the career staff, PG PSC dispatched a house fire in Co 47's first due. Tower 24, staffed with 4 career personnel, hit the street immediately, followed by the Engine staffed with 3 volunteers and Chiefs 24 and 24-A. Engine 471 arrived on the scene with smoke showing, and after investigating, determined their was a fire in the basement of the house that had spread to the first floor and attic. The crew from 47 along with the crews from 24 worked diligently to extinguish the fire and check for extension. The fire was brought under control in about 25 minutes and after extensive overhaul and soak down both crews were released at 10:50
